Dave Heckman

Dave has nearly a decade of experience, representing startups throughout their corporate life cycle, from formation, through angel, venture and growth financings, to exits and liquidity events, as well as providing day-to-day corporate and strategic advice. Prior to J&O, Dave spent time in the corporate departments of three international law firms. Before law school, Dave had a successful career as a US Army artillery officer, deploying twice to Afghanistan, serving in logistics, operations, and intelligence roles.

Dave earned his BA from George Washington University and his JD from Harvard Law School.

Dave lives outside Seattle with his wife and their dog Rooster (and the occasional foster puppy). When not supporting startups, he enjoys cooking, soccer and hiking.
